Challenge

  • Design electronics for the Wallbox project, ensuring comprehensive operation for an 11 kW AC charger.
  • Expanding electronic capabilities for AC chargers, including 16A in 3-phase mode, 32A 3-phase, and 50A version for the American market.
  • Creating a Smart Meter for bidirectional energy flow, enabling electric vehicle charging using surplus energy from photovoltaic installations.
  • Ensuring the quality of every electric vehicle charger leaving production line through rigorous testing procedures.

Solution

  • We met this challenge by developing the initial version of the electronics serving as the central component controlling the entire AC charging system, and then developing it and integrating all the system components on a single PCB board
  • – We met this challenge by innovatively extending our electronics to meet various power requirements and market specifications. With the design assumptions, it was assumed that the design would be ready designed so that it would be possible to prepare different variants.
  • We developed advanced production testers to assess every functional aspect, from electronics to overall performance.
  • We developed an intelligent bidirectional meter, facilitating efficient energy usage and charging.

Result

  • The V1 electronics successfully powered the 11 kW AC charger, laying the foundation for subsequent advancements in our electronic solutions.
  • The expanded electronics allowed for versatile AC charging solutions, meeting the varying needs of different regions and users.
  • The Smart Meter became a key component in sustainable charging solutions, optimizing energy consumption and supporting eco-friendly electric vehicle charging.
  • The implementation of production testers ensured that each electric vehicle charger met high-quality standards, enhancing reliability and customer satisfaction.
